Reynoldsburg

With a population of 32,000, Reynoldsburg is a clean, attractive small city whose residents enjoy a low crime rate, well-kept streets, quality schools, and an excellent community standard of living. Reynoldsburg’s stable economy, supported by dynamic, vibrant people with a concern for their community and a good quality of life, makes the city an excellent place to live.

Reynoldsburg has its own, nationally high-ranking police department, and the Truro Township Fire Department provides prompt and effective fire and emergency services. Water and utility services are provided through the City of Columbus, and sewer service by Reynoldsburg.

The City’s park system encompasses 248 acres and provides a quality environment for the needs of its residents and their children by sponsoring activities that include supervised summer playgrounds, recreational activities, team sports programs for basketball, tennis, volleyball, baseball, softball, and soccer, and gym facilities. A privately owned bowling alley and swimming pool also operate within the city. Reynoldsburg is known as the “Birthplace of the Commercial Tomato”. Alexander W. Livingston, plant breeder, horticulturist, and seed merchant, was born in Reynoldsburg and became internationally known for his development of the tomato. The City is a little more than 11 square miles and incorporates parts of three counties: Franklin in the center and west, Licking to the east, and Fairfield to the south. It is located 12 miles east of Columbus and is accessible from Interstate 70.
