New Albany

Once a small, rural farming community, the Village of New Albany is now one of Greater Columbus’ most upscale suburbs. It is the crossroads where simplicity and sophistication meet. This researched and carefully planned community features streets lined with white fences, open green spaces, neighborhoods accented with natural foliage and running streams, and Georgian architecture.

The New Albany-Plain Local School District, recently named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education, is housed on a beautiful learning campus, which features state-of-the-art technology, computer and science centers, art and music studios and a nature preserve. The adjacent Health and Wellness Center includes private physicians’ offices, an innovative, private childcare facility, and a center for community wellness courses and activities. The New Albany branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library is also located on the campus. The New Albany Park District, formed in 1999, features three parks and includes soccer, baseball and tennis complexes, a pool, youth and adult sports leagues, and other recreational activities and programs such as computer instruction, yoga, drama and quilt making classes. Several golf courses also dot the landscape of New Albany including the 27- hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus at the exclusive New Albany Country Club.

Located just minutes from Port Columbus International Airport and only 15 miles from the heart of downtown, New Albany offers the resources of a metropolitan city and the tranquillity of country living.
