The City of Grove City is a vibrant community of approximately 28,000 residents. Just 15 minutes south of downtown Columbus, Grove City benefits from the corporate growth of Ohio’s capital city, while retaining its own identity as a comfortable small-town community where managed growth and quality amenities are among the top priorities. Residents and community leaders have worked together to create a city which provides a wide variety of employment, cultural, educational and recreational opportunities. The ideals of hard work and high standards established by city founders in 1852 still permeate throughout the city today.
Attracted by the community’s strong work ethic and a probusiness city administration, dozens of new companies have located to Grove City in the last decade, creating thousands of jobs. This dynamic economic base has allowed the city to make continuing investments in roads, utilities, parks, safety and resident services.
The City was recently named a Most Livable Community by an independent research firm that considered factors such as low crime, low overall taxes, housing availability and access to lifestyle opportunities.
Grove City is home to Beulah Park – Ohio’s original home for thoroughbred racing. Founded in 1923, Beulah Park is the site of many activities throughout the year in addition to its regularly scheduled races, including concerts, community festivals, and a three-day baloon festival drawing nearly 100,000 people to see more than 60 hot air baloons. Grove City is conveniently located between Interstate 71 to the south and east and Interstate 270 to the north.
