Dublin

While the Ohio city may not be as well known as its Irish namesake, Dublin’s charming downtown, suburban housing, excellent schools, thriving business environment and great events make the Columbus suburb an outstanding community in its own right. Each spring, the eyes of the sports world turn to Dublin’s Muirfield Village Golf Club as it hosts the annual Memorial Tournament, one of the PGA Tour’s most respected tournaments. Worldfamous golfer Jack Nicklaus, who grew up and developed his golf game in Greater Columbus, designed Muirfield Village Golf Club and has hosted the Memorial Tournament since its first year in 1976.

Dublin is also home to 109 human-sized ears of corn, part of the Dublin Art Council’s Art in Public Places outdoor sculpture collection. The “Field of Corn with Osage Orange Trees” exhibit has received national recognition from the Food Network.

Speaking of food, you may also know Dublin from its appearances in TV commercials for Wendy’s. The popular fast food restaurant was founded in nearby Columbus in 1969, and its corporate headquarters are located in the heart of Dublin. Located in the region’s northwest quadrant, Dublin is easily accessible from the Interstate 270 outerbelt. Dublin is just minutes from the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and Six Flags Wyandot Lake, and it is within a 20-minute drive of downtown Columbus.
